Habitat for Humanity Brant is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International founded in 1976. We have now housed 1,000,000 people around the world. And we are currently building at a rate of 1 new home every 21 minutes.

There are active affiliates in 83 countries around the world, and over 200,000 homes have been built worldwide. Habitat came to Canada in 1985 and there are 71 affiliates throughout 10 Provinces.

Habitat Brant was incorporated in 1998 and we built our first home in the summer of 1999. We have to date - Jamuary 2008, built eight homes.

Each home that we build helps us to finance the construction of another home.

So far we have assisted 8 families comprising 13 adults and 29 children.

Our ReStore opened in September 2002 and has diverted 230 tones of material from local landfill, it contributes significantly to the financial growth of our mission.

We have established a good working relationship with the City of Brantford and many agencies and individuals within the communities of Brantford and Brant County.

We are always looking for families and volunteers.
